How To Kick Your Money Woes

Worrying about money can get old. It’s time-consuming, and it amplifies money problems. Setting up a system to kick your money woes will allow you to focus on bringing more money into your life. Here’s an outline to stop the cycle of money woes.

Wrap your mind around it

You may already know that I think we’re all hauling around a backpack of our old money drama, A.K.A backpack of BS. Identifying what’s in there, your issues with money is the first step to having a better outcome when money situations pop up. Maybe growing up you never had to worry about money, everything was taken care of, and now you aren’t in the same surplus of cash. By looking at your past with money, it can help show you what is causing current money worries.

Identify triggers

What gets your money-worrying machine going? Knowing what gets it fired up can help you put steps in place to lower or eliminate the cause of your worries. Does paying bills each month give you anxiety? Does grocery shopping make you uncomfortable? Make a list of situations that make you worrying about money.

Make a worrying crushing list

On your list of money situations that rock your world, make a second column and list how you can squash each worry. Maybe setting up automatic bill pay or paying bills in the morning when you’re fresh and not trying to answer emails and cook dinner at the same time. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like to be around negativity, it’s my kryptonite. You know what I’m talking about, people like Eeyore. When you’re around them, suddenly you don’t feel like doing anything, you’re sad, angry and irritable—you’re being dragged down. On the other hand, when you’re around positive people you believe anything is possible, the sun’s shining brighter, life is good. To have a different result, you have to do something different. Don’t just talk, start doing it. If you want to stop your money woes take action.  No matter how little the first step is, you’re taking steps in the right direction.
